| My Dad was about my age here--25 or so. Wasn't he handsome? |
It was the most terrible thing I've ever had to live through, and it still hurts almost every day. It was sudden, and I definitely wasn't ready for it, and like so many others--I didn't get the chance to say goodbye.
My Dad influences a lot of posts on this blog. Here are a few I thought I'd post to honor him today.
- My First Fish Dish, Dedicated to my Dad
- Dad's "Famous" Baked Beans
- A Non-Fiction Piece I Wrote About His Passing
Love you, Dad. Miss you every day...
ALSO: I am raising money for Autism Speaks and will be participating in the Western Mass Walk Now for Autism Speaks on September 29th. This was a cause my Dad was very passionate about, and I know he'd be walking with me if he were here today. If anyone is looking for a good way to honor my dad today, this would be a great opportunity to donate. Click here to make a donation via the web, and also click through for instructions on donating via mail. I am more than halfway to my goal of raising $500.

Aw that is so sweet-I'm so sorry, but it is so great that you honor him. <3
ReplyDeletei'm sorry for your loss and that you had to go through that at such a young age and difficult time. i'm sure that he would be very proud of your blog (and love your posts honoring him)! you look so much like him. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. He was quite the techie, I think he'd be blogging himself if he was around :)
DeleteI look like him, really? Me and my brother joke about how we look like each other but not our parents. I look a lot like my aunt, I used to think I was her secret child and my Dad just adopted me, haha.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, especially at such a young age. I just read your past post about your dad and became emotional. We can't take everything for granted.... thanks for sharing, Bee.
